   A resonance phenomenon in which air currents throb back and forth through constricted passages in a cave with periodicity of a few seconds to a few minutes.
   Synonyms: (French.) passage respirant; (German.) Grotte mit Resonanz; (Greek.) anapneousa ope; (Italian.) grotta a soffio alterno; (Spanish.) gruta resonante; (Turkish.) maara esintisi.
